When will you be working on my project?
I work full-time as an art director, and I love filling my nights and weekends with interesting projects like yours! During the work week, I spend 7:30-9pm MST most evenings focused on design projects. Every other Friday and every Saturday I spend two blocks of time (8-11am and 1-4pm MST) working. These Fridays and Saturdays are when I typically take client calls. I take Sundays off completely.
How should I communicate with you?
Email is great for quick questions and comments! I typically check email once a day and respond within two business days. If the subject will take more than a quick email to explain, email me with a brief synopsis and we'll schedule a call to discuss.
What if I want to add something to the project?
I am happy to work on more projects for you! In order to keep a healthy work-life balance, I only work on one project at a time. Once the contract has been signed, I don’t work on anything else until that project has been completed, including any new requests from the same client. Additional work is treated as a separate project.
Who is responsible for what?
As the client, you are the one who sets the goal and provides content. I’ll be responsible for everything else! This obviously includes design work, but it also includes the timeline, proactive communication, and project management.
How can I give effective feedback?
After each presentation, you'll have the opportunity to evaluate the work and "sleep on it" so that we can be sure the design is as effective as possible. I will ask three questions at the end of each presentation:
These questions keep the feedback focused on what your customers will respond to.
